How Ishar can help you
Understanding and Overcoming FDV
Through our program, participants gain a comprehensive understanding of the key identifying features of FDV and its far-reaching impacts on mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing. Armed with this knowledge, they are better prepared to navigate the challenges they may encounter.
Knowledge is Power - Rights Under Australian Law
We firmly believe in providing our participants with the tools they need to protect themselves and make informed decisions. As part of the program, we empower them with knowledge about their rights under Australian law, ensuring they are aware of the legal options available to them.
Accessing Support Services - A Safe Haven
Navigating the complexities of FDV can be overwhelming, but our program ensures that no one faces it alone. Participants learn how to access essential FDV support services, including those dedicated to helping them leave an abusive relationship or obtain a Family Violence Restraining Order (FVRO) against their partner.
Our FDV services are available in Ellenbrook, Northbridge, Gosnells and Willeton (for ISWA clients only).
Uniting Against Domestic Violence
Ishar's Involvement in Perth's FDV Hubs
At Ishar, we take immense pride in being part of not just one, but two Family and Domestic Violence (FDV) Hubs in Perth. These Hubs serve as beacons of hope and healing, providing integrated services and support to women at risk of or experiencing FDV. Our involvement in these Hubs underscores our commitment to creating a safer, more inclusive community.
